We end our September fun with an exciting, super slippery and squishy fun sensory play session. What child doesn't enjoy making a gooey mess pretend baking?
It was raining last week so we took that to our advantage and got the kiddies to draw up some pictures before leaving the studio. They were asked to let the rain drop on their pictures and observe the effects it had on their drawings. It's always fun to incorporate nature to our crafts. it is a great gateway for beautiful conversations to ignite wonders and creativity!
I always find clay a really fun medium to work with but people often forget that they're around. So this week we dialed up our claytivity. Originally the plan was to create a bowl but the lil crafters had other big plans. Open ended exploration creates the best art works!
We are in the midst of testing out some edible slime recipes ... Hopefully a big gooey mess will be happening at the studio soon!
It's that time of the year! I gathered my little helpers and we ventured to the apple orchards for this week's craftivity. Fun and delicious!
Our studio was transformed into a prehistoric dig site last week. The lil crafters became paleantologists and dug up dinosaur bones. It was one wild and dusty week at the studio!
Special shout out to Mr. Craftivity (he's actually not into crafts at all) for helping out cleaning our tools and instruments! We are tweaking the lantern idea to make it lil crafters ready. This attempt produced a nice final product but it was very parent labour intensive. Must figure something out for next week's special moon festival craft!
Weather hasn't been great this week so it was nice to get some energy out of the kiddie crafters as they went wild with strings!
We had so much fun in July and we can't end the July sessions without a sizzle. We turned our studio into a wizard and witches science lab. Making magic dusts, potions and observing the wonderful scientific reactions they produce.
